Warning: Spoilers ahead for season four, part two of Bridgerton.

Bridgerton season four, part two has officially been released, giving Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek their fairy tale ending.

Of course, the road to happily ever after is marred with hurdles for the couple. In the final four episodes of the season, Benedict (Luke Thompson) and Sophie (Yerin Ha) have moments of bliss, yearning, and despair. Similar to part one, the second half of the season punctuates such moments with classical covers of famous pop songs.

Here’s a complete rundown of every pop cover in part two.

Episode 5 (‘Yes or No’)

Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton and Will Tilston as Gregory Bridgerton on season four, episode five of “Bridgerton.”

Liam Daniel/Netflix

Charli XCX’s ‘360’ Covered By Peter Gregson

A classical spin on Charli XCX’s party anthem “360” from her Brat album is featured during Hyacinth Bridgerton’s (Florence Hunt) recital in episode five, as the young men and women dance. Hyacinth ends up disappointed by the boys, but Gregory Bridgerton (Will Tilston) has better luck and one particular girl catches his attention. He later tells Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), “I think I may be in love.”

Billie Eilish’s ‘Birds of a Feather’ Covered By Gemini Strings

Bridgerton uses a cover of another Billie Eilish track, this time “Birds of a Feather,” as Penelope Bridgerton (Nicola Coughlan) writes her latest Lady Whistledown column in episode five. She writes about people from opposite worlds being drawn to each other, and how it’s not desire that’s the problem — it’s the world itself. The song continues playing as viewers see Benedict sweetly dancing with Hyacinth at her recital, meanwhile a man waves at Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) from across the room.

Teddy Swims’ ‘Lose Control’ Covered By Vitamin String Quartet

After Sophie abruptly leaves the recital early, she and Benedict speak privately in his room and he confesses that he loves her. Sophie initially makes excuses for why they can’t be together, but finally says “I love you” to Benedict, and they have sex for the first time as a cover of Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” plays.

Episode 6 (‘The Passing Winter’)

Hannah Dodd as Francesca and Victor Alli as John Stirling on season four, episode six of “Bridgerton.”

Liam Daniel/Netflix

The Cars’ ‘Just What I Needed’ Covered By Altum Quartet

A classical rendition of The Cars’ new wave hit “Just What I Need” plays as guests arrive at a ball hosted by Cressida (Jessica Madsen), who makes her grand return to the ton as the new Lady Penwood.

Sting’s ‘Fields of Gold’ Covered By Music Lab Collective

John Stirling (Victor Alli) pulls Francesca Stirling (Hannah Dodd) away from the ball so they can have a private moment in the gardens. A classical cover of Sting’s “Fields of Gold” plays as he looks at the moon, holds Francesca and tells her that she’s “the perfect wife” and will be “the perfect mother when the time is right.”

It’s an appropriate song for Francesca and John because it’s a wistful ballad about the good times shared between a couple, and fans who have read the book know that John’s unfortunate death is coming.

Episode 8 (‘Dance in the Country’)

Yerin Has as Sophie and Luke Thompson as Benedict on the season four finale of “Bridgerton.”

Netflix

Camila Cabello’s ‘Never Be the Same’ Covered By Strings From Paris

Camila Cabello’s “Never Be the Same” from her debut solo alum Camila plays during the finale, as Benedict and Sophie have a steamy scene in a bathrub. Sophie reminds him that she can’t risk another pregnancy scare, so instead, he pleasures her.

Lord Huron’s ‘The Night We Met’ Covered By Joni Fuller

A cover of Lord Huron’s sweet, swoon-worthy ballad plays during Sophie and Benedict’s first dance as a public couple in the town. The song continues as Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) and Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh) laugh together and get emotional, knowing that Lady Danbury will be leaving soon.

“We have such fun together,” Queen Charlotte tearfully tells Lady Danbury, holding her hand.

Bridgerton season four, part two is now streaming on Netflix.

Potential U.S. Recession Could Buy Japan More Time as It Faces Debt Implosion, Says Brookings Economist Robin Brooks

The post Potential U.S. Recession Could Buy Japan More Time as It Faces Debt Implosion, Says Brookings Economist Robin Brooks appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. While much of the attention from the crypto and traditional markets remains on the U.S., a recent analysis by a leading economist suggests it’s time to look east. Japan is teetering on the edge of a debt crisis, but a potential recession in the U.S. could provide the land of the rising sun a temporary window of relief, according to Robin Brooks, senior fellow in the Global Economy and Development program at the Brookings Institution. Japan’s debt-to-GDP is a problem For years, Japan has held the highest public debt-to-GDP ratio among advanced economies, consistently hovering above 200%. However, in the post-COVID era marked by massive fiscal spending, investors’ tolerance for such high debt levels has waned. To complicate matters, Japan’s inflation, as measured by the consumer price index (CPI), has surged since mid-2022, bringing inflation rates up to levels not seen since the 1980s. The trend is consistent with the sticky price pressures worldwide. The elevated inflation has pushed government bond yields higher and increased the cost of additional fiscal borrowing. These combined pressures have thrust Japan’s staggering debt-to-GDP ratio of around 240% into the spotlight, effectively boxing the government into a difficult position. Brooks put it best in his latest Substack post: “The bottom line is that exceptionally high government debt is putting Japan in a terrible bind. If Japan sticks with low interest rates, it risks further Yen depreciation, which could cause inflation to run out of control. If it anchors the Yen by allowing yields to rise further, this could put Japan’s debt sustainability at risk.” “This catch-22 means a debt crisis is much closer than people think,” he added. Growing debt concerns could drive investors to alternative financial escape valves such as cryptocurrencies, mainly stablecoins. Japanese startup JPYC is planning to issue the first stablecoin pegged…
