Gavin Newsom, and self-congratulatory boasts about “saving TikTok.” Over five hours, the president churned out 85 posts — many reposts of right-wing clips featuring Elon Musk, Pete Hegseth and Newsmax screenshots — while floating the idea of invoking NATO’s Article 5 to police the U.S. southern border. Trump also praised China’s President Xi for approving the TikTok deal and railed against Newsom in a profanity-laced rant, underscoring critics’ concerns that the president’s erratic social media behavior is increasingly colliding with U.S. foreign policy and domestic governance.
