BetHog has introduced a limited-time blackjack promotion that focuses on a single outcome, the Suited Trips side bet.

Instead of adding a bonus or changing how the game works, they’ve increased the payout from 100:1 to 200:1 on selected tables.

It’s a clean change, and for something that rarely hits, doubling the return makes it a lot more noticeable when it does.

The promotion runs until April 29, 2026, and applies specifically to BetHog’s AI Dealer and Multiseat blackjack games.

How the “Double Your Trips” promo works

The offer applies to a side bet within blackjack, where you’re betting on landing three cards of the same rank and suit alongside your main hand.

To trigger the boosted payout:

  • Join an eligible AI Dealer or Multiseat blackjack table
  • Place your main bet and include the Trips side bet
  • Land three cards of the same rank and suit

If it lands, the payout is now 200:1, paid instantly as cash with no wagering attached.

Side bets like Trips sit outside the standard blackjack strategy, so if you’re unsure how they fit into the game, it’s worth taking a look at how blackjack is played before jumping in. They don’t affect your main hand, but they do come with a higher risk in exchange for bigger potential returns.

The promotion is available on BetHog’s AI Dealer and Multiseat blackjack tables. The AI version is slightly different from a typical live setup, giving you the option to ask the dealer questions, such as, “Am I up in the session?” Or you can even ask the dealer what you should do :O

For more context on how that works, you can check out our piece on Bethog’s AI Dealer Blackjack. The AI dealer version also includes interactive prompts, provably fair mechanics, and a house edge of around 0.52%.

Final thoughts

This is one of those promotions that keeps things simple while adding real value. Instead of layering on conditions or changing the core game, BetHog has focused on boosting a single outcome significantly; 200-1 is a huge price!

For those who enjoy blackjack and want to explore more options beyond BetHog, it’s also worth taking a look at our selection of blackjack casinos. Before testing out new sites, we recommend players search for the best welcome bonuses.

UK crypto holders brace for FCA’s expanded regulatory reach

The post UK crypto holders brace for FCA’s expanded regulatory reach appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. British crypto holders may soon face a very different landscape as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) moves to expand its regulatory reach in the industry. A new consultation paper outlines how the watchdog intends to apply its rulebook to crypto firms, shaping everything from asset safeguarding to trading platform operation. According to the financial regulator, these proposals would translate into clearer protections for retail investors and stricter oversight of crypto firms. UK FCA plans Until now, UK crypto users mostly encountered the FCA through rules on promotions and anti-money laundering checks. The consultation paper goes much further. It proposes direct oversight of stablecoin issuers, custodians, and crypto-asset trading platforms (CATPs). For investors, that means the wallets, exchanges, and coins they rely on could soon be subject to the same governance and resilience standards as traditional financial institutions. The regulator has also clarified that firms need official authorization before serving customers. This condition should, in theory, reduce the risk of sudden platform failures or unclear accountability. David Geale, the FCA’s executive director of payments and digital finance, said the proposals are designed to strike a balance between innovation and protection. He explained: “We want to develop a sustainable and competitive crypto sector – balancing innovation, market integrity and trust.” Geale noted that while the rules will not eliminate investment risks, they will create consistent standards, helping consumers understand what to expect from registered firms. Why does this matter for crypto holders? The UK regulatory framework shift would provide safer custody of assets, better disclosure of risks, and clearer recourse if something goes wrong. However, the regulator was also frank in its submission, arguing that no rulebook can eliminate the volatility or inherent risks of holding digital assets. Instead, the focus is on ensuring that when consumers choose to invest, they do…
